Guru Puja Day

Saturday July l8^th 2020    10.00am – 4.30pm

The Trustees and friends of the Patanjali Centre for Classical Yoga would like to invite you to Guru Puja Day.

Gurupurnima, as it is also known,  is a special day  to give thanks to our teachers, gurus and guides and it has always been the highlight of the year at the Patanjali Centre for Classical Yoga.  If you have ever been inspired in your spiritual practice by someone, come and celebrate that inspiration with us. We would love to welcome you in the peaceful setting of the Patanjali Centre for Classical Yoga.

The programme will start at 10am with 108 chants of the Guru Mantra.  This can be a lovely experience, do join us if you can.

At 11.00am, Havan Yajna (Fire Oblation ceremony) will commence, followed by Guru chants and Vedic hymns.

A hot delicious vegetarian meal will be provided for you by family members of Swami Indranandaji.

The afternoon programme will start at 2.30pm. There will be chanting, poetry, talks by learned guest speakers, musical items and meditations all with a Guru theme.

Light Refreshments will be served at approximately 4.30pm at the end of the programmes.

There is no charge for  Guru Puja day but donations are  much appreciated to help the Centre run and hold events such as this. Thank you.

All donations will also be blessed on this special day.
