Saturday 19th July.
This day will be in honour of our Beloved Guru Ji Swami Indarananda and will include burying his Ashes in the Ashram garden. This will be a day to offer your final respects to a Great Hatha Yogi who shared his life and knowledge so selflessly with all.
This is a very special DAY in the life of a Yoga aspirant and is observed in every Yoga Ashram or Centre throughout the world. On this Day an aspirant pays homage and reverence to his/her Guru/Teacher who has imparted him/her the true knowledge and eliminated the darkness. This special event falls on Full Moon in July. If it does not happen to be on Saturday, it is organised to the nearest Saturday to allow most of the aspirants, their families and friends to take part.
An invitation, along with the programme is sent to all members. The programme, as with other functions, starts with Havan Yajna (Fire Oblation ceremony) lead by a priest or Swami Incharge at the KUTIR. A number of learned Guests are invited to speak on various aspects of this occasion.
