A minimum of 5 students are required for a course to run. The maximum number of students is 10.

All courses are conducted by teachers with numerous years of association with Swami Indrananda Ji and many years of teaching experience in all aspects of Classical Yoga.

Cleansing Days for Purification of the Body – April 11th and October 3rd

There are very few places that one may go to receive instruction in the cleansing practices (shat karmas).  These days will cover some of the cleansing practices that Swami Indrananda Ji himself taught.
The practices will include Laghoo Shankprakshalana, neti, nauli, uddiyana, some anti-arthritic asanas in the morning followed in the afternoon, by pranayama, yoga nidra and chakra meditation.  Naturally, lunch will be a light and simple affair.  A donation of £25 is requested.

Cookery day – June 6th

There was a successful cookery day in June 2009.  New recipes will be taught on this year’s course.  There will be a yoga session in the morning, and then Rani and Raj will teach us how to prepare sattvic Indian food.  Please bring some containers with you to take home your delicious concoctions.  A donation of £35 for the day is recommended which will include all the ingredients you will use.

Day of Silence – July 25th

Guru Puja Day on Saturday 24th July is a day of reverence offering homage to the Great Masters of Yore, and to the Founder of our Centre, Sri Swami Indrananda Ji.  To complete the weekend, you might like to stay over and take part in a Day of Silence on the Sunday.  There will be an asana session, walking in Silence in the beautiful forest, pranayama, yoga nidra, and meditation.  The day will be silent except where teaching instructions are given, so as to increase the effect and develop Inner Silence.  The cost of this day is £30 if staying overnight or £25 for the day only

The above suggested donations/costs are for members.  Non-members must join to attend courses at the Patanjali Centre for Classical Yoga.

Asana sessions

Asana sessions are taught by Shirley between 9am and 10.30am on the satsang mornings. There is a minimum donation (to the ashram) of £7.00 This must be pre-booked. Please see events for dates.
